Full grain leather fringe saddle bag-style made with 5-6 oz premium ochre worn saddle cowhide leather tanned in Maine. This extra sturdy pebbled/milled pull-up leather is slightly oiled, and will develop so much patina and character throughout the years. This premium leather has an “old world” richness from the oils — when stretched the finish becomes lighter, and when touched the finish becomes darker — a mark of high quality.
Body of bag measures approximately 10”L x 10”W with a 3” gusset and adjustable shoulder/crossbody/hip strap. The perfect size for holding your valuables, and for everyday use. Gorgeous leather fringe hangs 10” from bottom of bag. This bag can also be worn around the waist as a large hip pouch for a hands-free option.
This bag is made entirely by hand (leather lacing, hand-cut leather fringe, hand-tooling, hand-stitching). Features a hand-tooled veg tanned leather panel that has been hand dyed to give it a beautiful antique finish. It has been saddle-stiched onto the flap with leather fringe hanging along the sides. Leather panel is inlaid with a high quality 34 carat natural turquoise stone from the Emerald Valley Turquoise Mine in Nevada.
The leather flap closes with a button stud for easy access, and to keep your valuables secure. This bag is unlined, allowing the gorgeous suede side of the leather to show. This bag has one interior pocket, and a pocket on the back.
Can be worn off the shoulder, crossbody style, or around the waist due to the adjustable 40” leather strap.
Our area is rich in Native American history. This bag has been named for the river and valley that numerous Indian tribes occupied- the Juniata (meaning Standing Stone).

This premium leather ages beautifully. With proper leather care (conditioning once a year), this handcrafted leather bag will last several years. We use Smith's All Natural Leather Balm from Maine for conditioning and sealing the grain side of our leather. Saddle Soap may be used on the leather for cleaning if needed.
